18/19- 11 From Rincóncito to Playa Papagayo

We have to come down from the mountain and the weather seems a little better. It doesn’t rain all the time and we have some view on the volcanos around, but it is the same route down as we went up, because the other road is still closed. This has maybe to do with the weekend and less people were working on the landslides. After a small stop in Liberia, where  it is much warmer and not so humid, we continue to Golfo Papagayo, passing by the airport from which we originally should departed for A’dam. They are working on the runway and that’s why we have to drive all the way to San José on the 20th for our return flight back home. But first a two night stop in the Golden Palms hotel and our second time at the Pacific Ocean. Here the rooms are very nice suites and both afternoons we have a few hours with dry weather, so we can enjoy the pool and make a walk along the beach. 
For the last day Ed has rented some kayaks, but by the time we could use them, it is raining again. Here we have our farewell dinner and we are all happy that everyone still keeps up with good humor. The restaurant is oké but the waiting times are ridiculous. More then 2 hours before the main course was served and other than us there are only 7 guests!
