Kia ora

Kia ora! (Maori) Welcome to our followers on our blog from New Zealand. We had a wonderful trip. Everything went very smooth. The first stretch to FRA was with Luthansa. Sitting in Business Class with Singapore Airlines was a very pleasant experience on the A-380. For now the biggest passenger aircraft in the world. You felt you were travelling on a cruise liner. The upper deck had 84 pax and 10 cabin attendants! Perfect service and a seat from about 1.20 m wide. You could make a bed from 1.80 m long. After a 2 hour stop in Singspore we went on with Air New Zealand. A pleasant and colourfull surprise. A warm welcome, colourful uniform with stripes here and there and funny colours and a very informel Public Address but surprisingly professionally and with lots of personality. A very laid beck atmosphere. We felt at home. Funny placed seats and only 18 pax in C-class on the B 787. The Dreamliner.
We arrived safe and on time at our destination. However, it took quite some time before you had gone through the "arrival procedure", especially the bio-screening of all passengers luggage. Per's walking shoes were not clean enough and had to be sprayed. After one hour we were finally through and could call a taxi. After about half an our waiting we were driven to our hotel. The President Hotel on Victoria road in the middle of town. We left our home on the 8th of November at 3.55 and arrived in the hotel at about 2.15 on the 10th of November and with 12 hours time diffence. We left Norway with about 3 degrees C and arrived in Auckland with 12 degrees. Not really summer yet!
Vind het leuk om met jullie mee te reizen, en jullie avonturen te lezen...groetjes van de kids ..
